Get The Tools You Need to Navigate Blockchain Terrain and Opportunities
The Blockchain Event will be the most complete resource of websites, events, and other media dedicated to helping application developers, service providers and ITC vendors in any industry navigate this new terrain and discover new opportunities.
Topics Covered Include:
- Blockchain Training
Lecture sessions will include examinations of the different types of distributed ledgers, from permissioned ones to the bitcoin blockchain, detailed explanation of how their networks operate their transaction processing and smart contract features, their methods for establishing consensus and best practises for securing blockchain applications.
- Internet of Value
The blockchain will lead to an explosion of tradeable assets across borders at a fraction of the current cost associated with settlement and in virtual real-time. Put simply, it makes transferring value as easy as sending email. This will disrupt commerce and financial institutions to an unprecedented level, including the disintermediation of the financial system, increased global financial inclusion and even being an enabler of the 4th industrial revolution. Explore the potentials of blockchain technology revolutionizing capital markets, trade finance, international and domestic payments and insurance
- Web 3.0, Decentralization & Cryptography
In the beginning the web was a decentralized publishing platform for static, hyperlinked media, primarily for human consumption. In the second phase, which we are still in, the web has changed to being a series of dynamic and siloed application platforms for both human and machine participation, these platforms are centrally controlled networks where content and commerce are powered by members and user participation. In these sessions we will discuss how Blockchain technologies, advancements in P2P hypermedia, with roots in both p2p file sharing systems and content centric networking, can lead to a third phase of the web; a democratized and global distribution platform that breaks down walled gardens and puts content producers truly in charge of their business.
- Emerging Opportunities
Discover how Blockchain Technology can benefit a wide spectrum of industries. Some applications we will cover include the impact of blockchains in the energy and utilities industry, the media industry, both from a production and distribution perspective, the telecom industry, healthcare, government and the public sector.
- Regulations & Policy for a Decentralized World
Any technology as transformative as the blockchain comes with a myriad of regulatory challenges, with the financial industry looking at the blockchain as its foundational technology platform, regulators across the globe are keenly focusing their attention on the legal and regulatory implications of this technology. It is essential for all parties evaluating blockchain technologies and all decision makers in technology, finance, law and government organizations to understand the emerging regulatory implications that come with an Internet of Value.
- Speculating on the Future
What comes after the blockchain in the evolution of the Internet of Value? What role will mobile phones play in a cashless society with myriad of currencies and things that look like currencies? Can the interplay of Decentralized Autonomous Organizations, Machine Intelligence and the Internet of Things be the 4th industrial revolution? Come join us to discuss these topics and

BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES FOR SWISS FINTECH COMPANIES IN RUSSIA
The Swiss Finance + Technology Association is “Going Global”. In 2017 we are supporting and organizing a number of activities that leverage our national and international connections to bring the Swiss Ecosystem to a new level. We enable our members to find business opportunities internationally. We want Swiss companies to tap into networks outside of Switzerland and for our fast growing international community to access Switzerland.

The Swiss Finance + Technology Association is „Going Global“. In 2017 we are supporting and organizing a number trade missions for local companies to tap into our network outside of Switzerland and for our fast growing international community to access Switzerland.
Goal of the program
There are two underlying goals the Swiss Finance + Technology Association wants to achieve with the “Going Global” initiative. The first is that it should allow Swiss Businesses to get tangible access to different FinTech relevant locations around the globe and in doing so showcase the Swiss FinTech Ecosystem. One of the core pillars is the exchange of business driven trade missions to create opportunities from within our network.
The second goal focuses on inviting international delegations to Switzerland. This will enable international companies to have an anchor point to be able to access Switzerland. As the exchange is two ways, the activities should result in an increased innovation exchange between Swiss businesses and benefit the Swiss economy as a whole.
Updates to follow early 2017

The Leading Conference On Decentralization
EXPLORING THE FUTURE OF FINTECH, BLOCKCHAIN, THE SHARING ECONOMY, THE FUTURE OF WORK & DISTRIBUTIVE CULTURES
WHAT DOES D10E MEAN?
D10e is a numeronym for decentralization. In the past couple of years, the fintech ecosystem embraced Bitcoin and other digital currencies, a movement which allowed multiple disruptive industries to explode. The race toward a unifying theme (decentralization) became evident and part of our everyday lives.
Decentralization isn’t a buzzword, but an idea capable of driving the cultural shift toward the next leap in human civilization. What can be decentralized will be decentralized.
WHY D10E IN BUCHAREST?
After five successful d10e events in Singapore, San Francisco and Amsterdam, our participants asked us to have the next edition in a city they haven’t visited yet so they can combine their attendance with some cultural tourism and check one more country off their bucket list.
- 300 of the most passionate leaders spearheading decentralizing technologies and ideas are expected to attend (50% internationals & 50% Romanians).
- 40 international top level speakers are invited to enlighten our participants at d10e Bucharest 2017.
- The previous five editions were held in San Francisco, Singapore and Amsterdam.
- Meet inspiring people creating the world of tomorrow.
- Network with savvy, executive and entrepreneurs, pushing the envelope of human creativity and collaboration.

A Convergence of Blockchain and Financial Services
Distributed: Markets will bring together payments and financial services leaders and entrepreneurs driving the blockchain movement forward for a day of critical dialogue and networking at The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta on February 27, 2017. With blockchain technology at the forefront of the fintech discussion for 2017 and Bitcoin prices soaring, collaboration between legacy institutions and blockchain innovators will be vital.
It’s fitting that this historic event be held in market-driven Atlanta. According to the Georgia Department of Economic Development, Georgia has evolved to become the epicenter of a growing segment of the financial services industry, with 70 percent of U.S. financial transactions passing through Atlanta’s “transaction alley.”
Georgia fintech companies generate annual revenue of more than $72 billion, placing the state third in the nation, behind only New York and California.
Approximately 100 fintech companies are headquartered or have significant presence in Georgia with six of the 10 largest U.S. payment processing firms based in the state. These companies and others process over 118 billion transactions per year representing over $2 trillion of purchase volume, supporting nearly 4 million merchants.

Jazz Fest 2017
More than 425,000 fans attended the 2016 The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell, which concluded on Sunday. Over the course of seven days of programming—from Steely Dan’s opening day magic to Neil Young’s impossible-to-resist command on the final day to “Keep on Rockin’ in the Free World,” followed by Trombone Shorty’s only-in-New Orleans funk fest that closed out the event on the Acura Stage—the Festival rolled on through sunshine and rain.
Next year’s 48th annual event is scheduled for April 28 – May 7, 2017.
