Die Regierung von Queensland, Australien, hat in Krypto Startup Travelbybit investiert. Das neue Unternehmen wurde am 1. August in einer Pressemitteilung angekündigt.
Innovationsministerin Kate Jones sagte, dass sie glaubt, dass Kryptowährungen eine kluge und einfache Art sind, um Einkäufe zu bezahlen. Sie hofft, dass das Vorhaben die Ausgaben von Touristen in der Region erhöht.
Laut Travelbybit nutzen 150 Händler in ganz Australien ihre Systeme. Die Investition der australischen Regierung wird verwendet, um diese Zahl zu erhöhen.
“Tourism is one of Queensland’s most important industries. TravelbyBit has devised a clever way to make it easier for visitors to our state to pay for their purchases with a growing number of local businesses accepting cryptocurrency payments,” she said.
“Ignite Ideas was about supporting entrepreneurs from across Queensland to grow their businesses and employ more staff.
“I understand TravelbyBit is specifically targeting places like Bundaberg – using cryptocurrency to make it easier for tourists to book holidays.
“That’s why we’ve invested to help them scale-up their operation and ultimately create more jobs in Queensland.
